Thanks for the recommendations and swatches@Leaves @murakamiharuki @laufer. I think I'm going for the natural edge. Hope it turns out like the third pic. So vibrant.

I may, I just may. I'm potentially thinking of going with something more like what Leffot offered however. But I'm not quite ready yet, so we'll just have to see.

Can I ask why you've decided to go with the DG70 Last for this shoe?

Honestly, I feel like it just doesn't look right chiseled. I usually see Rothschild in Dg70 and I think it's because the round concaves of the wingtip go better with a round toe. The leffot version looked decent enough in MH71 though. You think it looks better in MH71?

Also not sure about Ridgeway and stormwelt on shoe. Looks cool but wearing shoes in inches of snow doesn't seem like a good idea.

FWIW, I've seen lots of austerity brogues on chiseled lasts, and they look great.

On one hand the Ridgeway sole seems like it belongs on only boots, but I kind of like the idea of having a rather stylish shoe for slightly foul weather days. I don't foresee me hiking through the tundra or even wading through water or snow in them though.

Anyway that's one of the reasons I want to take some more time and think about it. But I thought they kind of looked pretty cool anyway. We'll see.................

I did but do not worry when you place an order you will have an opportunity to indicate width.

@Leaves

I guess you can take it from here.
