Say what?!?!? Have you not seen many of those hard wearing G&G bespoke shoes and boots?

Love the GRANT let me be the first to jump on board for this GTMO this will be my 3rd pair of G&G. I have a very narrow foot and Nick has been very helpful with the fit, so really looking forward to the GRANT. Hopefully will get the CHESTER GTMO next week. Thank you Nick for all you help with these great shoes.

I am just waiting for a vintage oak Burnham gmto, come on James...

Some GG news from the GG Tumbler site. Evidently they are changing the St. James design slightly, based more on the original bespoke model it was inspired by. Here is a sample of what the St. James will look like on orders placed after Dec. 1:

The current St. James II model right now for reference:

I can tell that the Adelaide perforations on the instep sits a little lower now, that is all i can see at the moment anyhow...

I can't decide if I like the new design more or less.  I'll have to buy a pair and compare most likely.  What a shame.

The new broguing lines are much better and much more interesting...it looks less like any other generic adelaide now...

I actually don't like the new version at all. Sure, it stands out more, but looks too heavy in the front for me, no balance in the pattern. At least to judge from that pic. And might be better in larger sizes.

Can anyone here tell me if the Thorpe is a taller boot than the Nevis? When looking at pictures it appears as the Nevis with 7 eyelets is shorter than the Thorpe with 9 eyelets.

Sad to see that they're changing the St. James. I'd go so far to call the St. James II their flagship.

Can't tell the difference at a glance. Closer look, you start to see it. A lovely shoe regardless

What the heck, I'm glad I got the vintage cherry st james before this happened. The Peak heel counter is what makes it the II and I don't like the wider and lower broguing around the laces. This should be St James III then. I suppose the St James II would still be available MTO and stockable by retailers even if it's not GG stock.

Agreed. I think the droop in broguing is too much and its curves are no where near as elegant as the St James I or II. Wondering if I should pick up a pair of the aforementioned before it's too late.

even taking in the above reactions, I wonder if G&G hadn't posted they were changing the design, and had just implemented it, if anyone would have noticed.

You only see differences if you are actively looking for them
