So here are two examples using Burgundy highland grain...the Thorpe is gonna look spectacular in this. As you can see, the lighting plays a significant role in the shade and the rioja that the burgundy is paired with in the second photo definitely brings out much more of the red tone. But in scouring through photos, I think burgundy highland grain is predominantly brown with reddish undertones in bright light. Really lovely.

Right now, I have three people with confirmed interest all in the standard E width:

Myself (chrk33)
@ikaika122
@Nullson

Doing their due diligence:
@rydenfan
@tifosi

I am impressed that we are more than halfway there. If Rydenfan and Tifosi can join us, then we can get the ball rolling with Skoak ASAP. Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions.

^^ Sorry, @CHRK33, if you are set on burgundy I have to pass. Good luck and I look forward to seeing it!

No problem, Tifosi - you can't get in on them all. Or CAN you?

I have some redundant pics from the Leffot GG trunk show yesterday, hopefully I can post them before the end of the night.

Leffot people were very nice, and Dean is a class act. it is too bad that I am at my MTO shoe quota for the year (so I hope), but there is a lot of inspiration to see at the GG show.

I proclaim next year the year of the the chukka. All my MTO's will be chukkas next year. Probably two Arran's, and two EG Silverstones... icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

and that Burnham, the best boot overall.

Have you guys decided on specs for G&G Burnham through Skoak. I have not heard any updates yet.

I handled the Burnham in Vintage Oak at Bergdorf and it is an incredibly light and beautiful boot. If it ever does get going, i'm going to be in trouble. I was hoping to be done with MTOs for the year... decisions.gif

It is light indeed, I like it better than derby or balmoral boots.
