I have 888 in E width and DG 70 and MH 71 also same size (6.5)
For me  888 fit better, MH 71 is more tight in instep and i would say shorter than 888 last.
DG 70 is Oakham (monk), and DG 70 fit = 888 fit, but little bit longer than 888 last.

I wear the same size in EG/G&G. However, since I have rather narrow feet, I find that I can wear a D width in EG, but in G&G I have to stay with an E width.

Another pair of hatch grain Hove has landed. It's the second pair of MH71's I have now, and it confirms that this is perhaps the best fitting last for me of all lasts I've been lucky enough to try. The hatch grain looks great, and I think I'm going to enjoy wearing these a lot.

Ok I want to give a rap to Dean Girling. I made an enquiry about getting some shoes but wanted to make sure they fit. He made me a dummy pair from scrap leather and sent them down to Oz. He even gave me his mobile to FaceTime so I could describe the fit (I didn't have to because the fit was almost perfect right out the box). The whole organisation was a pleasure to deal with and I am now awaiting my first pair.

^Thanks!

Maiden voyage with the hatch grain Hoves today. I'm finding these to be slightly bigger than a pair of MH71 Fairmonts I have, with slight heel slip as Ironist found a couple of weeks ago. I think this will subside once the double sole breaks in a bit though.

Good point. I don't wear a double leather or full Dainite for that reason.
