From my last inquiries for an Arran boot MTO, these are the estimated prices:
Skoak - $1445
Bespoke - $1700
Leffot - $1800

even with possible duties, Skoak is the most competitive in my opinion. At least with single MTOs to US customers...

Ah, I wasn't thinking MTO.
FYI there are some Arrans on the BE site with 30% off. (No use to you unfortunately, JS)

I know, I am so envious of all the RTW sales, but no love for wide feet... frown.gif

I heard that SKoab will have their price adjusted at the beginning of September - so if anyone wants to pull the trigger- better do it before then.

I want to say that the Skoak price adjustment will only affect their current stock, and not their already adjusted MTO lists. Maybe @Skoaktiebolaget or @Leaves can confirm...

Picked up a pair of Arran in 9.5E

After wearing them around the house, feel I should have picked up a size 10 instead.. they are not tight, but pretty much snug fit at the moment.. am I better off having them stretched or would they open up and get roomier after a few wears? A bit stressed since these are my first G&G's (and most expensive shoes in my wardrobe!)

Too bad they don't quite fit, cause they look excellent...

I've broken in a few new pairs of G&Gs recently - in my experience they do get roomier as the footbed settles. So I wouldn't worry too much about them being tight brand new. It all depends on your preference how snug you'd like the fit to be anyway.

Sizing up would make the quarters touch and that would not be good, so either you need a wider shoe (or different last) or you actually have the right size and just have to break them in.

Someone get an Arran GMTO going, cause I'm real envious right now...

I`d say there are a few factors here - Can you give them back and try a size up? Where are they tight - is the length fine, is it the sides - or do you feel like your foot has been squeezed and pushed all over? If its the latter, then a size up would solve the issue. Length is also an issue - but some tightness at the size may give in. I found the heel area very tight and does mold to your heel, but the front of the foot never gave in on my Barclays. It`s also not clear to me whether G&G recommends a size up on their boots - I`ve found this necessary on some other UK makers. If you can't give it back, and your senses are that it is too tight, you may be better off selling them before you see too much wear on them. I always side on the cautious rather than hopeful side on these issues - never had a shoe stretch on me with wear. Being stuck with a tight shoe is a horrible feeling. Think this one over carefully. The way your laces close over however seem to be fine to me - not sure how the front of your foot feels though - thats the most important issue, as well as how much room you have in the toe area if your let your foot fill in the front part of the shoe naturally (not constrained by tightness).
