That Gable doesn't have the characteristic pointed stitching ... Interesting. Lovely colour!

Yep, 10.5E. How did you know that?

I prefer the normal cap toe, it doesn't stand out as much. It makes the shoe more office appropriate.

What was wrong with them btw?
.

Bar tack at lacing cut through the leather. Dean offered to see a replacement one just above it.

Went back this evening to a more organised room. Still a fair bit left so worth droppping by if you're in London. Even managed to find another pair for myself. May die them black. Did that with my stained sinatras to great satisfaction.

Nice one! What was the crowd like when you went this evening? Any queues outside or was it walk straight in and make a bee line to the G&G room?

Even at 11am, there were no queues.

Bloody hell. Lesson learned here. I queued for well over an hour when arriving just after opening time. Still, can't complain as I did have a successful visit.

Also picked up a solid white single cuff shirt and two pocket squares from Timothy Everest
Nice pick-ups! I really like the Grant but I have a pair of Wigmores and the toe pattern is just too similar. I'm a big fan of the Austerity brugue so I'm definitely jealous. smile.gif

Very quiet. Had a chance to chat with Dean G and Justin. This morning was just crazy. An hour queue for me.
