UK 5 - I guess most of your shoes are MTO or Bespoke?

Most UK makers e.g. C&J, Church's, start at size 5.  One of the pluses of being at the extreme of the size range (either end), is you tend to find something in the sale.  Alas, I'm rather in the middle - check out the sale section on Carmina's site (they also start at UK 5), for plenty of examples.

How to piss off people in under 100 posts, impressive.

Sadly I find that most makers don't stock on the smaller side (6-6.5UK), unless you want to go MTO or pay full retail. Once you have the essentials down it becomes much easier to bide your time for sales.

I was originally reticent to use black wax polish on G&G's rioja...but I am really like the results over time. I apply a thin layer to the whole shoe..but have been laying it on with a mirror for the toes...and I really like the contrast that the very darkened and high shined toes give to the rioja body.

Looks like a different boot - well done.

@Ilovelobbs - no, all RTWs - G&G, EG, Anthony Cleverley, Church's, Cheaney, Carmina, George Cleverley.  Wish I could afford bespoke.

@jdanielca - ignorance is bliss

@mimo - thanks. I kopped a pair of shell wholecuts at Carmina at their sale

All hello. I read with 799 on 804. Also I understood from the translation that was a question of application of plastic socks in footwear. At manual production of footwear use of plastic inadmissible this fraud! Back part and subsock obligatory skin application, and not simply skin, and plantar skin. Which is processed manually by a knife. Only in this case the footwear keeps the form many years and is hygienic.
The footwear where plastic is applied, in 1-2 months gets out of the shape and turns into porridge. Feet in it sweat and the discomfort, with all that it implies is felt. Behind external beauty deception of the client is covered. About quality of such footwear out of the question.

Well...I can tell you this much.

All of my G&G's are much older than 1-2 months...and none of them have turned to porridge...

Значит там нет пластика.Или Вы их редко одевали и ненадолго.
