As it is, a lot of my influences come from G&G. I think the design work is particularly fine. I admire the heck out of the bottom work and the finishing. I incorporated some of what I absorbed just from looking at G&G's into my own lasts and patterns.

But it's like being attracted to a beautiful woman--if you're so beguiled by outward appearances that you cannot see the reality underneath...how many of us have gotten into trouble following that path?

I'm at an age when I won't lie to myself, there's no percentage in it.

We seriously think alike my friend. My problem lies in reconciling my net income with my gross hobbies.

I'm really liking this in British Racing Green - however prices are nearing JL Prestige..

Well they're better shoes than JL Prestige. Imo of course

I dunno about that

I was forwarded a mail shot from Ascot Shoes that G&G shoes have been reduced to £500 with lasted trees.

These are not sold by Ascot shoes, but by Kevin Seah a bespoke tailor in Singapore.

I attach some of the pics here.  Sizes are of course limited on sale items. Don't expect large

UK11 + sizes being available.

Is there a promo code or something? I'm seeing SGD1,500 which is more like £700, so not too different from normal.

Edit - not too different for us non-EU folks that is

My friend bought UK 7.5. Shame they don't have anything in UK 5.0

All seem to be standard "E" fitting, too, which surprises me considering the market.
