When trying on the KN14 loafer (Monaco) 10 is fairly snug but I get heel slip in the 10.5. Which way do these loafers behave - do they stretch as they're broken in, or do they lose the heel slip as the sole flexes, or will they stay the same? Thanks.

I had the same problem. I eventually went with the larger size, and I used insoles to keep my heel in place until the sole broke in a bit.

Leffot trunk show is in one week...can't decide what if anything I want to get..

Anyone got any good ideas?

I dont think I need anymore monks or boots and I don't wear loafers very often.

So that leaves it to oxfords or derbies....

Don't really need anymore brown shoes...I have enough.

Dont need anymore blue either as I just did 2 MTO's in blue.

So black, rioja, cherry, etc.

I got half size smaller than my lace up GGs for loafer from Nick.  Initially it was VERY snug and I am not sure if I would have bought that size if not on-line shopping.  I keep shoe trees on with thick socks to help stretching.   This method worked for me.

i was kind of thinking the kent in black calf with black alligator on the tg73

or rioja and rioja alligator...if such a thing is possible...i dono

or black calf and black alligator suede to tone it down a little...

since it will be a pretty flashy shoe..doing it on the deco last maybe too...

thoughts?

Almost identical to the MTO I am looking at with nick. Kent in black calf & navy hatch, no medallion on deco last.

Although I am liking the suede gator idea...

yeah...i emailed him about this to see about the possibility and price for suede alligator...

i've personally never seen suede alligator up close so it would be interesting to have a shoe in it as i consider it to be very unique..

I rather like suede gator. I have a couple of suede gator watch straps and have a black suede gator belt on order from Kleinberg. I have not seen G&G's suede gator in black, but others I have seen tend to have a grey cast to them (which I like). Might switch that blue hatch for black suede myself... Tempting.

Fantastic...

^ where would you where those? I like them theoretically, but they look too flashy for work and I wouldn't wear suede as a formal shoe. They almost look like a driving moc. For G&G, I'd go bespoke seamless whole cuts. They do it better than anyone else.

Well...I would wear those with just about anything haha...except to work.

But that is not the model I want...just an example of the material..

I was thinking of this model, the Kent, with black calf and black alligator or alligator suede...and maybe on the deco last.

..

^i like those. A nice interim step if you are not sure you want full gator. A gateway drug.
