Figured. Try emailing Dean, or Nick. Hell, PM DWF. Perhaps one of them can tell you what might work well.

Something else you might consider is finding a way to mix the Navy with the neutral cream to lessen the amount of pigment applied when polishing.

After a quick chat with Kirby, his recommendation for lightening the polish (should that be your desire) was also to cut the 06 with some neutral or renovateur.

Thanks for the tips - quite apprehensive and I will indeed try DFW, before commencing.

Anyone know what color these are? Cedar darkened, burnished more, and polished all over?

Aren't those bespoke? Which mean they are the color the client asked for, not necessarily any of their standard colors.

I would hazard a guess that they are vintage cherry with some enthusiastic burnishing...some guy had a pair of oakhams done this way a few hundred pages back.

According to Dean - Yes navy Saphire polish 06 will be fine, is has a little blue colour pigment in so it should help to maintain the midnight blue colour.

Looks bespoke to me. They even have the hinged bespoke trees.

I too have visited the new factory. It's significantly larger, better planned and more airy than the old factory, which is chaotic in the extreme. I think it is highly encouraging and a very positive development for the company. A full report will appear soon.
