I must say I have the exact same pair/model but I have never seen it polished, photographed and presented this way. Bravo!  It's beautiful!

I prefer it in an almond shaped last.

They also look to be slightly different sizes - I think you're right.  Either way, they're gorgeous. :)

Thanks guys. I am also ecstatic with how they came out. Props continue to go to Tony for the suggestion. Stitcheroo: Yes, they are TG73. I love this last - almost as much as I love the deco.

I like the contrast stitching on these, and agree that the almond shape looks good. The rounded toe just does not a appeal to me as much. I envy your lighting though.

What's the best price I can expect to find a pair of St. James II?  Those shoes are absolutely absurd...

Any lower cost alternatives?

I've posted them in the bespoke thread before. Wanted to give a comparison of an alternative toe shape in a suede Adelaide.

You are about one week late. Edward of Manchester had a januari sale with a 20% discount.
G&G is never low cost but if you live outside europe you can deduct VAT. Bespoke England has St James in both MH71 and TG73. Skoaktiebolaget has them in MH71.
