A selection of G&G grain leathers:

This one reminds me of JL City III in grain leather / october soles.

and this one reminds me of EG Dover in Country Grain / Dainite Sole

I would prefer the smaller grains of the JL City III. It looks a bit weird with such large grains on a shoe you normally see so sleek and I would rather go with a single dainite sole when it is not a boot. The proportions are a bit off.

qbessi,

Not joking at all. it's ok. i understand that when I wear an extreme shoe like those G&Gs that they are not going to be to everyone's taste.

Are you joking? :uhoh:

he is correct. hating doesn't describe it. i don't see the geometrical aspect on them. as i mentioned several times. it looks like as the toes got hacked off by a blind butcher. thats all. chizzel dizzel at its worst.

thanks g. for passing the ball along. you stay blocked, though. no hate, just psycho hygienic.

as i said, this is not their territory. look at what eg. vash has to say in this story. look, listen and learn.

I'll agree with Fritzl to some extend (for once), but the G&G country styles like Thorpe and Hove are really nice although the rustic look is not really G&G's thang (their payoff is “understated elegance" after all). I think they feel obliged to put out some of these styles on the market to satisfy the country style lovers.

i just asked to do them well and up to their standards.

apropos, i don't have the feeling we disagree. it's just some tickling from my side and i think you can play it along well.
