I was extremely tentative in even getting my foot in the shoe, as the opening did not seem wide enough. The toe room seemed fine, and there was a fullness in the sides of my foot and the vamp, but not extremely uncomfortable. The lacings were just not going to tie correctly, so this is where i gave up on this size.
Would the proper move be to try a UK 10.5 G width, or does anyone have any ideas? confused.gif

I think you have a similar issue to mine. The length seems fine, but the width is not. Two solutions, 1) go to a G width, & 2) mention to G&G that you have a high instep. They need to expand the vamp a little.

I had the same problem with the Wigmore boot. The shaft was to small and it would not wrap around my shank.

Double leather sole, metal toe tips

One of the most beautiful chukka boots ever made. It could not fit or look better even if it was bespoke. Perfection!

Unlined upper shaft (similar to John Lobb Ramsey II chukka in suede), 3-piece shoe trees!

amazing

Beautiful!

This is on the TG73 last?

Would there be any styling issues with opting for the DG70 last on these boots?

Also, which rubber bottom would you suggest for these (I think they would be amazing "rain" shoes), dainite, crepe or wensum?

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice, gents. I'll look at the 11 F or an 10.5 G

This is on the TG73 last, but you could do any last you like.
I would go with the Dainite rubber bottom instead of a ridgway for winter. It is cleaner looking, offers better traction, and last longer. If you want a dreassier option, go wi the wensum.

I wish I poloished these before posting them. They are better looking in real life than in these pictures. I am sure you all are insightfull people and can look through the little things.
