Interesting.

Corthay do it or at least did it on their RTW's, i think it is more a classic feature and definatly more casual so IMO it goes well with these

Bengal Stripe made up the term - not sure if there is an actual term for this or not.

I see it now. Thanks.

it's barely noticeable when wearing. but what's the reason to do it on RTW? imo, with bs it's incorporated into a whole concept, but then...???

Sartorial Splendor - I both hate you and love you for not being a 9E.

One day, I wish I'll be able to buy such shoes and just keep them in the closet, admiring them from time to time! That is the life!

I would have to wear them. I can never keep an unworn shoe unworn for very long.

Although I do like the idea of them as a 'collection' even if such is well past my financial means.

Sorry to hear the Wigmores did not work but I am sure you will be able to unload them quickly.

Placed my order for a stock pair (Vintage Rioja/TG73/pebble shaft) a couple of weeks ago so they sould be ready early next year. Not a bad first G&G pair!

Funny I noticed this last week on my Canali cap toes but did not give it much thought.

dsmivtr ---

I hate to part with them, but you know that "fit" is the most important factor and they do not fit me. By the way, this was my fist pair of GG as well.
I learned a lot about GG sizing soon after and the rest were wonderful. I a UK 13E.
