here is another lasered shoe, i get the feeling TG likes this design as he has it in 3 different styles

I'm thoroughly intriqued. A modernist interpretation of a classic design.

As usual Tony's aesthetic sensibilities 'speak' to me more so than any other current shoe designer that I am aware of.

Hey In Stiches:

So you're all set to place the order for your first G&Gs, eh?

I remember you were originally thinking of the Uppinghams in vintage rioja. Thought you would be interested to hear that I was wearing mine yesterday and got two compliments within the space of 3 hours. Which is as many compliments as I've received on shoes in the rest of my entire life!

The first was from a colleague as we were waiting in the lobby of a law firm prior to a client meeting. The second was from some guy in the locker room at the gym when I went for a lunchtime workout.

So maybe you should rethink your order...before it's too late! (evil laughter)

Poast pics........PLEAZZZZZZEEE

I like the toe detail on the uppinghams. Not sure about the rest. Would like to see 'em 'on the hoof'.

Hey Gdot:

Will do. But probably not before the middle of the week, when I wear 'em again for work.

I hear ya' about the rest of the shoe...I wasn't sure at first either. But they look very elegant when you're wearing them, long and closely tailored to the shape of the foot, especially around the instep. The classic square toe shape is more stylish than what I usually wear but I like it...very distinctive.

BTW, the leather is fantastic...thicker and more supple than the leather on my other pair of G&G (Rothchilds in vintage chestnut on the DG 70 last).

wow, beautiful. thanks for following up with the pics. really great looking shoes.

Thank you Roadrash!

Beautiful shoes, especially the color. vintage rioja is definitely on my must have list.

And thanks for taking some pics from various angles. I find that pics of G&Gs taken from the wearers perspection (straight down) can look a little wonky. But that doesn't show the wonderful sculptural quality that is seen by others.

OK, so I owe you a favor smile.gif
