Any last.

I'm after an oxford (most will be ok except suede) or the Hove. The oxford can be any colour but the Hove I'm after brown/vintage rioja.

I appreciate there's an inherent risk you're bearing so I can pay you a deposit if it provides you with more comfort before you buy the shoes smile.gif

What are the next steps? Confirming which ones are available, agreeing on a price/deposit/shipping and buying?

@Flake deal!  Oh, and I don't love that whole hatchgrain thing much either.  Anyway, I think we can safely say that if MF walks out with a pile of 9F shoes, they're sold!  I doubt we'll be that lucky though.

@Monkeyface you are a gentleman, and have created a gleeful monster...

@Monkeyface

I'll play biggrin.gif Doubt there'd be any but I'll buy up to three of the following:

£450 6.5E St. James 2 in Polo Suede, Vintage Rioja, Vintage Oak / Black Sinatra / Vintage Oak Wigmore or Burnham / Chestnut Hatchgrain Wells

Oh hai. Am I missing something here?

Yup! @Monkeyface is going to the G&G sample sale tomorrow with a truck :slayer:

Can requests still be made?
post #12772 of 13078

Don't see why not. Also don't see how he's gonna manage this!

@Monkeyface

Hi Monkeyface - If any of these 3 are UK10E or 10F; i'll buy them. Thank you. In order of preference is the Canterbury(?) bal boot (in the back; grey upper, dark lower), then the Thorpe storm welted cognac boot, then the brown Arran up front (I think @earthdragon requested the Arrans, so please let him have at these first)

Thank you!

Yeah, you guys are way too specific. You're lucky to get anything in your size in a sample sale. Asking for a specific last or colour is just not going to happen. I'm not that familiar with G&G, so I have no idea what the lasts/colours are apart from superficial knowledge. I'm going back there tomorrow, but I'm just going to look for myself, too many people are asking for sizes/lasts that won't be there. Sorry guys,

I don't blame you, hope you find something else in your size. I'll be happy for just more pics...

Yeah, I apologize for getting your hopes up, but I didn't expect people to be this specific. If you ask for anything in 8.5 or 7 or whatever, I could look for it. But it you ask for a specific size with a specific width with a specific last and a specific colour, the chances of me finding that are very slim. There might be about 50-75 shoes left, and nothing is organized, so even specifying width means I'll have to look for an hour, and it'll be unlikely I'll find your shoe. Even Tony himself didn't know what he had, and it took him about an hour to find three shoes in UK10/10.5. It's safe to say that there won't be any shoes left in the popular sizes (UK9-UK10.5).

I can be less specific. I would take a pair of anything in 8.5e or 9 e( hove would be best) but I've yet to see a pair I didn't like. I would pay 350 or less.
