No jeans. A lot of sassy pants work with this though. There's something odd to me about the sole color though. i'm not sure why, but I think it might be the thickness.


With nice khakis, linen trousers, etc. etc.

I do agree that the sole would be more appealing in brown/natural. Although I'd be happy to own them as is!

Plain 'ol khakis from the Gap might not work. But high quality khakis made from high quality fabric would be fine, IMO.


I don't understand what the quality has to do with the look... khakis are the ultimate blah pants. These shoes would need some pants with pizzaz. Perhaps some Tom Ford pants.

Different cut and fabric will produce different results. A good analogy would be G&G Black TG73 Oxford vs. AE PA. Both captoe oxfords, totally different looks.

That's because one will have a bland, blobby shape. The other will have somewhat exotic styling.... a stylistic change is not the same as a quality change.

It's not the 'what' - it's the 'how'.

For instance - does Tom Ford offer khakis? If so I bet they are not blah.
