From what I've read in this thread, G&G seems to have narrower lasts compared to that of their competitors. Correct me if I'm wrong here. You can either post measurements here or send to me in a PM. Thanks in advance.

so who do you intend to purchase them from? you can ask them?

Anyone have a pair of Arrans with some wear? Contemplating a pair but I'm thinking that I would always go for my Wigmores over them if I had to choose:

Those look great, I will note that my Wigmore looks better for wear than the pair of Arrans I picked up. Partially due to the Arrans being slightly longer than needed, and the long vamp. I will note that the Arrans are very comfortable to move in, maybe due to the slightly unlined sides.

I also note that you too have a gap in your Wigmore lacing, as do I. Even when the lasted trees are applied, I notice the same gap.It would seem that they are not meant to fully close, is that how the style is suppose to look? Or should I ask for a slightly increased vamp on my next MTO?

The Wigmores are terrific. I'm looking forward to wearing mine more as the fall season progresses.

I prefer to have a slight gap; not too wide.

I am relatively ambivalent about the lacing gaps and fine with the look... I have a few pairs where the gap is closer and I don't notice a difference fit-wise.

Thinking of cherry or cognac calf. Interestingly, I prefer a full lining so this is one point I'm hessitant about. Another point I'm not too keen on is the stitching pattern towards the counter up the shaft. I know this is due to the unlined nature but I prefer a neater look (like the lines of the Wigmores).

Maybe I should get another pair of Wigmores! smile.gif

I have these. I do not know how much experience you have with chukkas but I have both unlined and lined. I prefer those with unlined shaft as they are much more forgiving around you ankles.

I have these from GG, great chukkas

Nice Spike!

Many thanks. It was applied to my St. James II in vintage rioja order (also 3 month wait) AND it lured me into ordering a pair of the Cambridge in vintage cherry.  Here's to my first G&G order and hoping for a great fit! :bigstar:
