Trip to Brussels and Paris - Where to eat? - Page 2

I think the best food in Paris is found in places that are not in tourist books or that are "popular." When I am there I like to just walk around read menus, look at the ambieance, and let my instinct choose.

Many thanks to IndianBoyz and rdawson808!

Any more recommendations, especially restaurants in Brussels?

In Brussels you must eat at a Frietkot, they will serve you Belgian style thick frites with impressive sauces and condiments. (Try the samurai sauce) If you're into fried snacks you will find some nice things here. As for true restaurants, I'd try the "Waterzooi van Kip", basically chicken made in a watery gravy. I'm not a mussel guy but Belgium is renowned for them. Don't forget chocolates, don't go to Leonidas or Godiva, but if you do you will get them for pretty cheap.
