These came with my persol 649's but since I'm getting a pair of 714 i no longer need them. these are custom made high quality blue tinted polycarbonate with 100% UV/UVB protection and will fit a 649 frame with 54mm lenses installing them is as easy as taking them to your local eye shop. takes 5 minutes. they're just like the ones seen here this is a real world pic of them when they were in my 649s get them for a fraction of their original price they were worn in their frames just a few times and are in perfect condition. (no scratches, etc whatsoever) 50 $47 shipped CONUS via Paypal

I have a pair of these lenses in my 52mm 714s right now. Totally awesome. The blue effect looks really cool and blocks out the sun very well. People love the blue tint also, real eye catcher. GLWS

Just thinking aloud but could one have an eye doctor cut these down to fit other frames?...like wayfarers or such...

Doubtful, but you could likely have them make you a pair

No, the curvature of the lens is specific to the frame they're going in. Any good optical shop could replicate the color and make lenses to fit in any glasses you want, though. And shouldn't cost too much to do either.

Bump for a great price. I was about to pick these up until I realized my 649s are the 52mms.

Hi there, I'm interested in your blue lenses if you still have them, can you pm me? I need to make a few more posts before I can use the pm function as I have only just joined, thanks a lot,

Did you have these custom made independently? C

Depends what you consider not too much, I have a friend who is an optician, they say £150 for non prescription blue lenses and £250 for prescription . Apparently the optician orders standard " blank" size lenses which are about 75mm in diameter and the technician cuts them down to size to fit your frames, " blanks" tend to be a standard curvature so it is possible in some cases to cut down lenses from a pair of glasses to fit another pair but it would have to be a much smaller pair you are cutting down to,in most instances it would in fact not be possible. I guess McQueen had his own optician make up custom lenses for his persol sunglasses which would make them unique, I don't think Persol ever made them like that in the factory......but they do now!....£££££££££ :-)
