The homburg is a somewhat more formal style than the fedora, so best worn with suits (viz. Anthony Eden) or black tie, hence the grosgrain ribbon band. This example in black is by Christy's Hats, marked Imperial Quality, and is clearly made to a high standard. It is in excellent condition both inside and out (see the photos), and the gold lettering is still intact in many places. I bought in its current condition from another SFer a few years ago, and have only worn it twice myself, as it's just a touch too large for me. Looking to get back most of what I paid for it. A similar new hat would be about £70, I believe.
It is a UK 7 1/8, which equates to about 7 1/4 in US sizing.
Measures 8" x 6.5" internal axes, with an approximate internal circumference of 22 1/8". The brim is about 2 1/4" at the front, slightly narrower at the sides and slightly larger at the back. The crown height is about 4.5" in its current shape, and if in unbashed form, would be about 5".
