Yeah, murder is killing a human being. Abortion is also killing a human being, but it's okay because it's a very young one.

But it was the government that declared murder a crime.  If the government doesn't have the power to make laws then murder is legal

Well, sort of. It still wouldn't make it "illegal," since that's...uh...defined by the laws and all.

Abortion is just the most useless political issue to talk about. Nobody is going to change their mind, and people aren't even talking the same language on the argument.

Beyond that, dogmatic single issue voters are just begging to get fleeced by whichever political party has captured their vote. You see that with evangelicals rationalizing supporting Trump. They know Hillary won't overturn Roe, Trump has mimed just enough of the right language, so they end up overlooking all the stuff he's in favor of that they don't support, because abortion.

One neocon rogue Republican state tilts election to HRC.
WWIII.
Johnson is not winning new mexico.

McMullin could conceivably win Utah. He's within the MoE right now (26-26-22-14 for trump, clinton, mcmullin, johnson) and is perfectly in line with the Utah's republican mainstream. He is also allegedly working off of Romney's lists.

His strategy is to get utah, maybe another heavily mormon state. And then hope nobody gets 270 and that the new incoming House picks him. The problem is that there is only a narrow, possibly nonexistent band of state electoral vote outcomes and house of Representatives outcomes that work for him. And to be in that band, mcmullin needs to both do ok but not well, and needs trump to do okay but not well enough to win OR too poorly (because if trump does poorly, Clinton will start picking up Southern states with high percentages of both minorities and college educated whites and get a landslide). And he needs the incoming house to go Democratic enough to cut off a Trump win the House such that Gop mormon + Gop moderate + dem coalition can be formed in the House for the presidential vote, on a state by state basis.

You guys are arguing with the wrong person. Abortions are the best ROI any of my tax dollars ever achieved.

The only problem with abortions is that the wrong people get them while stupid people keep pumping out kids.

What is the alternative considering billions of people who don't practice contraception? I think killing them later will be too expensive.
And god forbid we support free contraception.

The Guttmacher people are heavily into research on the topic of abortion. They say about 70% of all abortions are for "economically disadvantaged" women and about 60% are unmarried at the time of need. Seems to me the majority of abortions are where they should be.

That's just going to lead to fornication and then where will we be?

Yes, because that would encourage people to have sex. Nevermind the fact that Colorado did it and abortions rates dropped 40% in one year however continued funding is being blocked by "pro-life" Republicans. It's almost like stopping abortion isn't their real motivation.

That's just because all women of breeding age are now too stoned on the whacky-baccy to have sex.
