First off I didn't mean to like your comment laugh2-smiley.gif?1292867631

Obama's frequent "uhhhh uhhhhh" and "ya know" were always annoying.  His political opponents frequently mischaracterized his preference for a teleprompter as proof that he needed it and then started to believe their own spin.  Hell I believed it.  Then he showed up at the House GOP retreat in Baltimore and without notes schooled them all at their own conference.

If you notice that was when the teleprompter jokes suddenly disappeared. It was then that I was able to see past the uhhhs and realized that he was pretty good speaker.  He can't touch Bubba as far as delivery but he has talent as an orator and has a solid command of facts at his disposal.

Interestingly, while Clinton leads with more educated voters, she's only ahead among the lowest earners (people who make less than $35k a year).

Trump has also seen a recent surge in support among blacks to an astonishing and highly improbable 19%. At the rate he's gaining black votes his percentage of black voters will surpass Hillary's support from whites in a week or two. (Not that this is hard as Hillary only gets 1/3 of white voters).

LA Times/USC poll is a really weird poll. IIRC, they're using the same panel each time. Its never really been done before, and is interesting and exciting.

Voters are getting tired of other people's representatives. Their own, not so much. I predict that 90%+ of the incumbents running in the house will get reelected.

People who "LOL" at their own ignorance are the problem.

Now, don't mistake this for me not thinking he's a dickhead, but sometimes people need to tap the brakes on what they think Trump said.

"I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons. They should disarm, right?
"Take their guns away, she doesn't want guns. Take their guns and let's see what happens to her. Take their guns away. OK, it would be very dangerous."

From that he is now again being accused of egging someone to assassinate her.

When Trump said "What the hell do you have to lose?" I thought that appeal was just so simple and genius. That said, I'm surprised it was so effective. I don't think anyone would have predicted his surge with black voters. He's changing the DNA of the republican party in front of our very eyes.

On a side note. I was talking with a client a few weeks ago who kept on trashing Hillary. I asked her if she was voting for Trump. She said yes and I said me too. We talked about Trump for a good 20 mins and now she really likes me. I don't this account will ever leave. nod[1].gif

Probably shouldn't take the results of one highly unorthodox poll as gospel. That LA Times poll has had some weird outliers against other polls this year.
