Black pastor in Detroit will have Trump come to his Sunday service then interview him on air over the Xtian cable network he and his wife started. Plans to ask Trump if he's a racist. Would anyone like to bet this interview will quickly go off the rails?

Except for an out of the closet Klansman who would answer the question "Are you a racist?" with "I sure am!"

Hahaha. Even David Duke claims he's not a racist these days.

He's not a racist. Only a separatist.

I mean, can I believe a business caters to a niche market, sure.  I just can't believe there are that many vegans that eat out enough to make a vegan restaurant profitable in most of the United States.

It is vegans + people who practice semi-seriously (say meat once a week) + people who want "a healthy meal" + poor souls having to accompany said people. That's a lot of people in some urban communities in the USA.

Never forget that it only takes one vegan vermin to fuckup a perfectly good plan for a sweetbread meal.

Well starting with the New Right (Nouvelle Droite whose main thinker was/is Alain de Benoist) in France racism has gone from being universal and biological (let's compare all races and tadam!, whites are superior and so on and so forth) to differential, cultural (all cultures are worthy but incompatible so get these fuckers out of OUR white Judeo-Christian country), the latter discourse is often accompanied by a nostalgic litany about the disappearance of all those beautiful, traditional cultures. Renaud Camus would probably tell you he loves North Arabic culture and show you pictures of trad. garb etc and all that shit but they gotta stay home and not mingle or both our cultures will degenerate into a globalized mush. There is a famous 1971 conference by Lévi-Strauss (called race and culture like one of his previous books) which helped popularize those ideas and pissed off a lot of his earlier admirers.

You’ll note that a lot of anti-racist discourse is, in many ways, related to the latter way of seeing things: “cultural appropriation”, “our roots blabla”, and all that politically correct I respect your culture/traditions/etc. bullshit where you truly want to keep the Other at bay and see no univeralism of our share humanity but a discourse where only black people can identify and understand what is racism through their subjective experience.

Ok found a conference by Alain de Benoist, very hard to find in English because he is very bad at it. He's quite a character and you can't really do better if you want to learn about modern extreme right thinking

note: He is an ally of Dugin, they're both big on Evola

Evola book you should read:

Anyone unsure if Vegan restaurants are "a thing."

Seems like the entire West Coast is lousy with them.

To Brokencycle, then- I was saying the same thing as you.
I am not vegan, or vegetarian, but I sympathize with the movement. Just because animals aren't killed making eggs or cheese, doesn't mean they aren't treated cruelly most of the time.

Thankfully they're not very popular in the Midwest.

All the crap in the world to be bothered about  and you got enough jibbildy left over to care about a few harmless goofy vegans ??

There's that old saw which says, "Some people eat to live while others live to eat." By and large, just my impression, YMMV, IMO, and YOLO...vegans don't seem to be people that enjoy eating.

Just more of the good stuff for the rest of us.I think the relationship between people of south Louisiana and food is about as enjoyable a one as there is.

The number two favorite thing to do in New Orleans is to eat. Which begs the question . What is number one? Talking about what to eat

Lunch is when folks get together to talk about what they gone have for dinner.

They got food so good it'll make you slap yo mama
