Uh, no. The NBPP had a user-generated blog post on his campaign web site. Literally anybody who registered for the web site could have posted a blog endorsing him. There were over 1 million user-generated blogs on my.barackobama.com. Obama's campaign didn't put a NBPP endorsement on its web site. That's just a lie.

I'm all for criticism. People just shouldn't make shit up to make a point. It's so destructive to reasonable discourse. Just be honest. It makes conversation much more productive.

So on the "Trump outreach to Africa-Americans" front:

Trump favorability ratings with blacks:

Favorable 0%
Unfavorable 97%
Undecided 3%

From Public Policy Polling.

Hell of a steep climb for Mr. Trump.

Trump should promise reparations.

It's as likely as "The Wall".

Ok good point, but still I really doubt you could put xxx xxx xxx there so someone from the campaign likely had to approve the post. Still it was removed only after some time and after considerable amount of bitching. Also you had ppl like rev. wright or nation of islam behind obama and it didn't mean obama run some black supremacist antisemitic platform. Same with Trump him getting so much flak over endorsment of random idiots like duke shouldn't be as big story as it was; and it was only that because it's Trump not someone else.

Which specific remarks are you referring to?

How many speeches is he really going to make?  1 or 2?  I wouldn't blame him either if that's the extent of it - there's only so much time left on either side for pandering and he has to move on.  If his team advises him to aggressively go after the black vote now in the home stretch, by giving significantly more speeches than that in black neighborhoods, it will be a moronic waste of time, and he will lose points with the angry white people who are the base his entire campaign is focused on.

He isn't going to get 5% of the black vote.  3% would be an achievement based on where he is now and what he has been doing.

I don't know how many speeches he will give. I don't see it as a waste of time. If my prediction is wrong then in terms of his campaign it might be a waste of time, but in a general sense I think hearing an opposing point of view is a good thing for black communities. What they've been hearing in the past hasn't worked out so well.

Just out of curiosity, do you believe white people are the only group that contains some "angry people"?

Not at all. I believe his core strategy is turning out angry white voters who largely haven't voted in the past. Do you believe all black communities are deluded and misled and that Trump has a message that will offer some manner of enlightenment?
