There are no epid. studies on affects of GMOs. GMOs are not just playing god , they also simply express pesticides and hormones that do not exist in nature and you are consuming them. And then again, no epid studies, so why label it right?
You are either confused or simply misinformed. Both selective breeding and genetic engineering are techniques that depend on there being change and variation in the genetic material.
It seems your position is not so much natural vs artificial, but the specific methods used to create the artificial organisms. This is that mankind "playing God" by radically altering plants through non genetic engineering methods is inherently safer.
"Natural" crop improvement methods include crossing plants to make a hybrid, randomly exchanging hundreds of genes in the process.
GM technology typically inserts a single gene. Please explain how randomly swapping hundreds of genes, or creating random genetic mutations, is somehow inherently safer than inserting a single target gene.Edited by Jr Mouse - 8/5/16 at 12:15pm
