Perhaps the US should do a better job screening out Eastern European applicants. This one seems about as smart as a bag of rocks
Trump is #2 in GOP Field - Page 293
It's quite common for foreign students to get their tuition paid and a stipend while doing PhD studies in STEM. It usually (by necessity) comes with a student visa. The school would have dropped the ball pretty badly to have someone studying illegally.
It's also really common for non-citizens to work as postdocs, and get paid for it. Again, comes with a visa and usually a non-working visa for a spouse.
Point of order: if you're here on most visas you are a visitor and not an immigrant. Student visa, H1B, etc? Not an immigrant but rather a limited duration visitor (even though that duration might be in years.)
Well, Trump was already nominated, so they can't stoop quite that low.
Yes, it was a joke, he's a comic, always playful and lighthearted. What part of the words he says do you not understand to mean the words he says?
He was just reminding people that Hillary's "extreme carelessness" probably led to Russia and who knows else having her e-mails. Oh, and that she deleted them and lied about it.
I was too young to vote for him, so I absolve myself from confronting this glaring hypocrisy within my party.
And that was intentional. If you flood the country with that many people, there's no way to get rid of them without causing chaos.
You're justifying what he said and why he said it, which is different from saying he didn't mean what he said (it was a joke). I'm not sure if you recognize this distinction.
I believe we have been using the colloquial definition of the term "immigrant". Characterizing a foreign student in the US on a current student visa or a foreign worker on a H1 visa as "illegal" is as strange as it is wrong. The entire foundation of Medwed's theory is non existent.
I do like the part when he referred to some in this thread as teeny boppers. It brought joy to my day
