It's nice and vague and undoubtedly true. Or do you not think that Mexico's leaving its border open for illegal immigration encourages its criminals to come here?

What does that even mean, though? What's the supposed role of the Mexican government? How are they "sending" criminals to the US?

There's some right and some wrong in what he says. The vast majority of migrants are not from Mexico. They are from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Some have argued that the Mexican government has not done enough to stop people from those countries from entering Mexico, which allows them to get to the U.S. border.

So, there is an argument about the role of the Mexican government. However, I don't think Trump actually has been making this argument, because he's already declared that he thinks the issue is Mexicans.

He's a politician. Is everything he says supposed to mean something clear and specific?

So why isn't this a conspiracy theory again? We can't even determine what he's supposedly accusing Mexico of, much less provide any evidence for it.

Mexico is way more strict with deporting than the United States. One of the problems is that a place like Guatemala doesn't have the resources to deport other Central Americans, and doesn't have the jobs to keep their own people. Blame Mexico all you want, but they are also feeling the repercussions of people chasing the "American Dream". Mexico has to deport, arrest, house, hospitalize, bury, and feed a shitload of non-Mexicans too.

I really have no idea what you're trying to say here. What is precisely what Trump meant?

When the facts aren't on your side, blame 'the media' and make up your own!

That's what Hillary has done for 25 years so we've got at least one data point to show it works. If that damn media would just investigate and write about the VRWC...

You got some facts to support that assertion?

Well, I posted this a few days ago: http://www.styleforum.net/t/236046/trump-is-2-in-gop-field/4185#post_8515582

Even immigrants that have been here for 20+ years say immigration improves the country on a 2:1 basis.

You're not going to be able to remove 12 million people without significantly infringing on the civil liberties of people who are here legally, it's just not possible. And Trump hasn't given any indication that he's going to stand on principle for civil liberties.

It's so impractical, it will never happen, and I'm sure the party (if not Donald) know this. It's just chum to throw to the base.
