nah if he wins he won't be able to do shit he wants, he will be blocked by democrats and sometimes even by republicans, he may end up not doing much at all

You're missing the point. The DNC convention could declare his sainthood and we still have all of the MSM, foreign press, etc. to continue eviscerating him as they have for months. It's funny to pretend this is something special to the RNC convention.

I didn't miss it since your point always revolves around perceived inconsistencies;)

I brought up another question regarding behavior of supporters , but that does tie in to media portrayal beyond some assumed agenda. But we will likely never find out as the DNC will neither praise trump nor will it be a display of controlled savagery to the extent of what was just put on.

Ah, behaviour of supporters...like the folks beating the shit out of people showing up for a Trump speech in San Jose?

People on the street are kind of distinct from selected delegates on the convention floor.

Well not exactly. Out for blood on the streets is not the same as on the convention floor, goaded into a frenzy by the speakers. I don't think there will be much overlap between the hooliganism of anti-trump demonstrations/violence and DNC attendees showing up for Clinton, but that's just an assumption.

Fair enough...but we've not seen the DNC party yet.

It's sort of a shame Hillary made sure the White House will be white though.

The real question is, will he just continue the tradition of extreme executive power? Or will he be content to just fly around the world giving his megalomaniac speeches?

I think my favorite moment in the RNC was whoever talked negatively about "unprecedented executive power" in one breath, and cited the Emancipation Proclamation as an accomplishment of the Republican Party in the next.

People can say all kinds of dirt about Trump. But, he doesn't care. When he does care he really knows how to hit back. Most politicians don't like dirt on them and cower. Believes Trump knows that very well. Their cowerness is his tool against them. I think he will do a lot more than people think he will, being he is a go getter. He seems to me to be a very open minded negotiator who definitely wants something at the end. Politicians who waste his time will be made to look like fools.

I think Trump has no desire for the grind of actually governing. He has the attention span of a 2 year old. One of the best reads of the last couple of weeks was the New Yorker article about his ghostwriter for The Art of the Deal.

http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/07/25/donald-trumps-ghostwriter-tells-all

and then the inevitable threat to sue from his Trumpness.
