Sanders is not exactly being the good little Democrat the last month or so. I'm not sure how much it'll hurt Hillary in the long run, the Obama/Hillary race got pretty ugly and it all went away by the convention.
It'll be interesting to see how Sanders handles the convention. His idiot supporters are already planning on protesting there. Protesting what, I don't know exactly. Anything other than an appeal for solidarity against the Republicans would be pretty damn irresponsible
The situation right now shows the contrast between the Democratic rules and the new Republican nomination process. The Republicans changed thing to solidify a nominee earlier. The downside of that is that it's easier for a wildcard to win the nomination, especially in a divided field. The upside is that you get a month or so to consolidate support before the convention.
