Right-wing candidate is always an embarrassment in the eyes of left-wing media, and that's what they push here too. On this occasion as person who doesn't 100% id with either left or right(maybe even more right-wing for that matter) I'd like to note that George W., genuinely came across like an idiot and people outside USA laughed at him, so I guess you can call that embarrassment. But anyway why would anyone care either way? Everyone will trade with and respect USA even if you elect lobotomized chimp. We don't have any other choice so it doesn;t affect anything really. And that goes for any other country, it's just left trying to shame you out of voting (R).

Not if they are of the same ilk as Trump/Cruz. I don't think the MSM lamented the election GHWB.

Embracing liberal ideas has become a way for the media to define and identify almost every positive trait, including intelligence.

Observing who speaks of "the media" in the singular has become a way for me to define and identify almost every weaselly trait, including disingenuous resentment.

I can remember him getting lambasted pretty hard. The media was not a fan of him but even they laughed at his opponent for his first election.

Yes, the media is made up of highly educated professionals, and, as we know, the AMA, the ABA, and 97% of scientists agree that highly educated professionals would never try to use their profession to advance their own agenda.

Since years of ingesting police-issue shoe polish has likely damaged your cognitive capabilities, let me spell it out for you. I'm not suggesting that "the media" is unbiased. I'm suggesting that "the media" encompasses a wide range of outlets that represent all sorts of ideological positions. No, not just CBS, NBC, and ABC, since this isn't 1958 or whatever, but also Fox, Clear Channel, and all manner of internet sites (duh).

And if we want to take CNN as a hypothetical example of an asinine news outlet that feigns neutrality & balanced coverage, then you'll whine about how it's actually liberal and I'll whine about how its banal soft liberalism is centrist-conservative in that annoying American way. So what.

Let me bind that to a hotkey so I can put a disclaimer on the end of every post.

That, or you could just give others the benefit of an honest, reasonable interpretation of their posts.

For the last fortyish years, I'd say there's only one Republican President that has been consistently described as "an embarrassment to the US in the eyes of the rest of the world". That's not a bad record, actually.

yes you're right the only reason that the media mocks trump is because of an awful liberal conspiracy, not because he refuses to disavow the KKK and sounds like a total fucking moron 24/7. there's reason they treat trump differently from most other candidates.

Who's gonna fine the Americans hiring these guys from places like Home Depot, and Uhaul? Not to mention the small time business owners. Americans will sell out their fellow Americans just to save a few bucks. All that patriotic bullshit goes out the window when money is involved.

Maybe Americans have this idea that they ought to get something for the literally tens of thousands of dollars every year to feed, shelter, and educate each of those illegal immigrants' kids.
