Do you have an addiction?

I'd be interested to see what percentage of the forum's population struggles with addiction, or believe they posses an addictive personality. Is there anything in your life that you are specifically addicted to? It does not have to be an illicit substance, as the spectrum of addiction can encapsulate a broad array of things, such as shopping, working, success, food, etc. Defining addiction as a compulsive repetition of behaviors that give you temporary pleasure and relief, in the long term create problems and negative consequences, but you still persist, and still relapse. No bullshit SF is the one addiction that's stuck. I've had periods of addictive behaviour, but they were overcome almost as soon as it was recognized that it was a problem.

I drink at least one beer every night. I dunno, probably not a good thing, i'm hesitant to call it an addiction, but I know others would.

Drinking 1 beer (12 oz) a day is actually good for your health. A small intake of alcohol benefits cardiovascular health - it's just that people have more than 1 drink all the time.

I'm physically dependent on caffeine. It's the only bad habit I've ever had trouble giving up. Even cigarettes I quit and never went back. But if I don't get my caffeine fix at least twice a day I get unbearable headaches.
