I have a pair of suede shoes im thinking about painting white. Is this a horrible idea?
no, just make sure you have proper suede dye as its not the same as the dyes used for leather and depending on the original suede color you might need to apply more than 1 coat

I'm actually talking about painting no dye. Like the chucks but suede. Sounds like a bad idea but I already own a pair of suede sneakers that were a bad idea

I'll try to post a photo soon. I didn't paint them though—they came that way.

Ah ok. I may just skip it and just dump these shoes and paint something else.

That leather case is amazing.

In other news I've procured two pairs of chucks. Going to paint this weekend. Looking for 72 inch laces is turning out to be a major task. Looking for Gray and white. Found black at a Wal-Mart. No dice at target or Kmart (why does Kmart still exist? )

I used this place last time I needed long laces in an odd colour. If you can navigate their headache-inducing website you can find pretty much whatever you can imagine.

Black chucks painted gray.

After first coat of gray did two coats of white.

Once they dry I will attempt to post less crappy pics.

Thanks Tyrone.

It maybe tool 10 hours from raw materials to finished product.

Designing the pattern and finding a way to hold the bag and stay efficient was the hardest part, to be honest.
