Bottom of tie showing when jacket buttoned - Page 2

I think that for this generation it's fine. Let's face it, wearing the trousers at the natural waist makes you look like you're from the 1940s. No man does it anymore. Ties sticking out below are ... well, not great.. but really really common. The only other option is to pull the pants up to the navel and nobody under the age of 80 is going to do that these days. Even magazine models have the bottom of the tie showing these days.

The other option is to wear your tie like Acecow and hover about an inch or so above the belt.

It's not a major problem. One of the many things that are over-scrutinised, particularly here on SF.

I'd rather see the end of a tie than a mass of pubes sprouting through a buttonhole.

It's a legitimate issue.
You don't want people to stare at your waist or crotch (unless you do, in which case you should consider options beyond the suit), and a tie or oven shirt peaking through between your jacket's quarters does exactly that.

Legitimate issue only for those such anally retentive people here on SF.

Oh well, almost anything we talk about meets this criteria.

In any case, while 1 out of 10 non-SF people probably can tell the difference between a balmoral and a blucher, 10 out of 10 non-SF people can spot a tie peaking out, and if you asked those, I bet 5 would say it would look better if the tie were concealed.

It's kinda a pick your own poison scenario though.

Choose:
1. Deal with it.
2. Wear high rise pants.
3. Wear you tie above the belt buckle.
4. closed quarters.

Of the 4 choices, one seems the most palatable to me.
