any other alternatives to this nau succinct trench?

i live in a hot country however it rains quite a bit. i'm looking into a little more stylish technical jackets since they are light. i'd like something with a hood or something that folds out into a hood. unless of course they are ugly and i'd just buy an umbrella. was thinking of barbour as well since i read they aren't really heavy to wear.

Barbour is classic and cool, but frankly, I'd go with the Nau option. Especially if you're looking for lightness in the garment. I think their outerwear is where they really shine.

what do you think of the succint jacket though? does my hood requirement just make my options look silly? was thinking of a lightweight parka thingy but couldn't find one. the acoustic jacket is what i'd go for as a first piece from nau.

It's not a trench, but would work for your "technical", light, and waterproof requirements.

Patagonia for APOLIS "Torrentshell" rain jacket:

I have a Nau Succinct trench and I think it works just fine in the rain. I don't think it looks silly at all -- and the hood does pack away nicely.

Hell, if you're looking for it in size S, I can sell that one to you. (I think its fine, but I need a less technical, more classic trench right now.) PM me.
