finally got annoyed with the beard's scratchiness, plus it's summer, figured I'd go clean shaven for awhile

2 fab & awesome pairs on this page.

@NAMOR_ too bad on the crotch rip. i wouldve slowed down once they "peeked" [ref: top photos]. i'd hate to get them all primed up just to get them trashed. IMO.
mine's taking the scenic route_ opposite your definition of "scenic", of course.smile.gif

quick question - how do i size on the RRL chinos as far as waist size? i was thuinking to buy the fuller cut version if i can find them, otherwise liberty in london as the normal sized RRL raw chinos

I'm a 29 waist. I bought a size 28 and they fit perfectly when new, but then they stretched out with wear and I had to have the waist taken in. But they are constructed with the split waist band so it's an easy alteration.

 

It's been said before in this thread, but don't size for your wasit; size for your thighs. Then have the waist altered if necessary.

Anywhere I can pick these up now? SVB, I'm between a 33 and 32 in rivets, closer to a 33 you recommend a 32 in these to start?

Yeah, and you'll still end up having to get the waist tailored once it stretches out. I would almost tell you to find a 31 or 30 but I think those might not fit you in the thighs so I still think the 32 is going to be right for you.

we're about the same waist size NYR, & i sized down to a W31.... SVB is spot on.

I hit the RRL flagship on W Broadway today. 32 was HUGE, and even the 31 was big...30 was just a little tight in the thighs but seeing how much it would stretch, thats what I'll need. They said they had one in the entire country in 30, and it was in the store, they just don't know where...they're gonna look and call me if they find it. *fingers crossed*

dunno, but i think the 31 should do. the thighs will shrink a bit & won't stretch back out unless forced to.
the waist band construction is same as trousers, so it's just a quick fix__ in case you need them altered.

re-posting my 31s for comparison.
you probably have bigger thighs than me cuz i don't have "thigh issues" even on slim cuts

Was there much shrinkage at all after a hot soak? If so maybe the 31 will work.

Perhaps I tried this one on...the 32 was HUGE on me in store...I wear a 33 in rivet chinos, and a 31 in APC NS/PS

there was quite a bit, but can't remember by how much.
NAMOR or the other peeps here might be able to give stats.

anyway, maybe you tried on the 11.5oz that Froosh mentioned. it could have a different shrinkage.

Ordered the 31 from Context today...we'll see how it goes. Should I warm soak while wearing em in the tub before wearing em out, or just wear em straight up to death?
