sized up to 32, fit is great in the seat/thighs, but a bit too big in the waist. nothing too major, especially considering a) the rise and b) i plan on taking these to europe for a couple months and getting fat

hahha, nice. I booked a 10 day trip to hawaii for the end of summer. I plan to wear these everywhere, including the sea.

You should! This was the most expensive pair of pants that I purchased outside of a suit. It was well worth the money and the contest just makes it that much more worth it. I sewed the Russian Reindeer RRL patch onto my Chinos and I really like the way it turned out. Im starting to see some wear on the chinos. I have worn them 10 times and soaked them once. For those who care, I treated the patch with Saphir Renevator and then mink oil (same stuff used for boots).

GOOD NEWS!!!

I think we have access to some more of the chinos. there is one 29 and then some decent sizes between 30-36. Please let me know who would still like some and we will put you on the list.

Thanks to all who are participating, Blake

Finally got the hem right on these, and I'm on my fourth wear today. Haven't had time to shoot pics, but will try to get a couple asap.

I am thinking about getting my pair hemmed. Any suggestions or recommendations? Did you also get them tapered?

Well, I did them myself, and it took me a couple of tries to get the length where I wanted it. I thought about tapering, but I was afraid changing the leg on these might not work well with the rest of the shape, and as it turned out I'm pretty happy with them now that they're not stacking and I don't have to cuff them. I wanted them a length where I could do a single cuff with higher shoes (boots, etc.), but wouldn't have to cuff with loafers and oxfords, which I wear quite a bit.

This may have been discussed already, but FWIW, on me these are somewhat low rise, which makes it tricky since the point where the leg opening hits my ankle/foot will change depending on which notch of my belt I'm on.

Don't know if that's mostly because mine are a shade large (29, and I would probably be best with a stretched out pair of 28), or if it is something others have also experienced. It does seem like with the hips/pockets/upper leg situated properly, the waistband of these is fairly low, so I tried to base the length on that.
