AMC's The Killing - Page 5

Needs more high school girls.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I too hope that the teacher ends up being the killer. I'd much rather have them spend the rest of the season digging up more evidence of it as well as a bunch more murders and have him be some kind of serial killer. When Linden walked into that room in his house with all the plastic everywhere I immediately thought of Dexter.

The 10 episode run will exclusively cover this murder. I'm assuming the next season will move on to something else. Not sure if they will use an all new cast. I won't be surprised if the show jumps from suspect to suspect. That happens in a lot of real life murder investigations. If the show does jump to new murders every season I only hope it doesn't become the norm.

Good episode last night. That was the first time that I had realized that the Larson family lived in an apartment that was above Stan Larson's moving business.

What happened to Mitch's sister in this episode. The whole time she's been like a rock and then she just goes to pieces. Lashing out at Stan's employee, lighting up a doobie, and blasting that old record.

What's up between Stan's employee and one of Stan's boys? They have some sort of secret that I'm sure will turn out to be nothing, but I'm still interested to see what it is.

Lastly, I hope the show doesn't get to wacky with the methods in which they gather evidence. The dude with the telescope was pushing the limit, IMO.

"You look like you're going to sell plasma" - Best line of episode.

Mitch's sister went out of her shell for a moment and somewhat made a pass at the Polish mafia boss right next to Stan and Mitch (in the greeting line) - then realized she should have been mourning and started drinking.

Stan's boy pee'd his bed and the employee found his wet PJs - washed up his sheets and clothes and told him he had the same problems as a kid - I think this is just showing that the employee is very loyal to this family and even somewhat a member of it - but we'll see if more comes of it.

Who is the guy who talks to the 2nd detective in the car? His shrink? He's got some demons or something going on.

Either way - interesting progression of the episode. How many more are left?

This. I think there may be some history between the two.

Thanks for the answers to my questions. I believe that there will be 12 total episodes and that the one last night was number 6. Not sure how to handle the accounting for "double episodes".

With regard to creepy partner talking to the other guy in the car I get the sense that on one level he might be the guy's sponsor. I think that creepy partner is a recovering addict as he made mention to some necklace that he and another witness had in common.

It will be interesting to see if that's so. If the producers are smart they will hopefully lay the groundwork for storylines that will occur in future seasons.

Ah - you're right. These characters who have only been on for a few minutes get mixed up in my head. And yes - there must be a history.

If you listened to the dialog, you'd have heard him say something about the kids couldn't make it, they're grieving in their own way. Now, why would a mob guy give that as an excuse to the sister of the grieving mother? Why would they even know anything about that part of Sam Larsen's past? MY second question has never been established in the story so I don't know why it'd suddenly be tossed in like that. Perhaps it's more plausible to think "ah, the characters look alike (I thought the same) but which one had a kid that Rosie's family may be curious about seeing at her funeral? Yes! The rich douche bag ex boyfriend! That must be his father!!"?

That debate was fucking awesome.

I felt bad for The Rocketeer. He was getting boxed into a corner and thought he knew the way out. He made his move and then, WHAM, he gets KO'd. Looks like Mr. Widmore was right in that he just doesn't know how to win.
