I agree. The shot where Mitch yells at Stan was well done. You see his face in the light while she talking to him and then when she finishes he face fades out of the light and into the shadows.

If he had been upfront from the beginning there's a very good chance that they would have ruled him out as a suspect (which would have saved everybody A TON of grief) and he would have still been able to carry out his little underground railroad operation.
obviously this wouldn't have been possible without blowing the cover on helping the other girl, which is why he didn't say anything in the first place

i know your comment was directed at someone else, but based on what you mentioned you should check out eastbound and down, probably the funniest show on tv second to always sunny

See I don't agree with this at all. I believe that if he had told the cops about his past of picking up students, the letters he exchanged with Rosie, when he actually last saw Rosie (and where) that they would have been satisfied and not needed to press any further.

He's not getting it for the campaign, but he will be able to direct how it gets spent while Younger Jerkier Paul Allen (a.k.a YJPA) gets to put his name on the results. This helps to change the public persona of YJPA so that he can get his stadium.

Thanks for the compliment. I would check out Park and Recreation (which you seem to already be doing?) along with Community. Neither of these is as mean spirited as the others, but they are very well done.

That makes sense. I mean, I like the investigation story-line as much as the next guy but the politics is where it's at. Richmond can't seem to catch a break (I.E. the whole debate fiasco; mistress scandal going sideways). I want to see how (and if) he manages to dig himself out of the hole he's in. A part of me really wants someone in the political circle to be the killer too.

The technical parts of this show are first rate. Directing, cinematography, music are all great. Too bad its in service to a plot thats essentially a 13 hour long version of "Cold Case". This is terrible as a whodunit, risible as a procedural, and wildly uneven as a psychodrama. The guy playing the Dad has been moving (the Mom not as much). On the other hand, the guy playing TweakerCop is so awesome, I keep hanging with this. When he is not on, it is completely dull.

While it is terrible that Bennett had to die, this may just be the break that Richmond needs. If he is smart he can stand on a stage with Bennett's grieving widow and talk about how racial intolerance in the city caused this to happen and how he is the man who turn it around.

Totally agree on TweakerCop. At first, he was so creepy I thought he might be the guy. As we get to know him, however, we see more and more the layers that make up his character. I really like when a show with a long story arc takes advantage of the format to develop its characters like that. Unfortunately, he is one of the few characters they've chosen to do this with.

Parks and Recreation and Community are pretty much the only good network comedies on television right now (30 Rock still has its moments...thinking about it, it's kind of amazing how NBC has the best comedies when it can't sort out a single decent drama). I may well check out Eastbound & Down.

And yeah, I've pretty much seen anything and everything related to Breaking Bad, I view it as a really long movie and think it's one of the most artistic shows ever.

Started watching this a few days ago and finally got caught up. Really entertaining (the first few episodes in particular were great) but I'm starting to get tired of the bait and switch pulled at the end of every hour. How many times can you have all the evidence pointing at one person, only to have them exonerated 50 minutes later? They've done the boys, Bennett, Mohammed, Belko, and are now casting suspicion on Richmond.
I mostly agree with AldenPyle's assessment, though I give it higher marks than he does for keeping me consistently interested despite its flaws; however I really, really hate Mitch. God, what a superbitch. Every scene with her makes me want to claw my eyes out.
I guess we'll see how the casino angle plays out next week.
