Be honest.

It makes you a chick, which is cool. I've always had my suspicions about you, truth be told. You're like a Reverse Tomgirl.

The Doors are great. Shame about the Lizard King. The Soft Parade was an abomination, and Morrison Hotel is underrated.

The Doors had no bass player. The gypsies had no homes. Don't let that scare you... let that liberate you

I was a pretty big fan when I was a teenager. I still enjoy their music when I hear it, though I couldn't begin to guess when it was that I last chose to listen to a Doors song.

the movie was awesome. val kilmer was stellar, and meg ryan finally showed boob (and she was still pretty then). i remember being 12yo and it was playing on HBO constantly so it was a reason to watch to see lots of nudity (that BJ scene in the elevator with the hot groupie) and the scenes with warhol were trippy. that and lost boys were the reasons I liked doors music when i was a preteen. now not so much.

True, I saw them live and they were great. Fillmore East around 1969.

Now, their music doesn't seem to hold up as well as Dylan, the Allman Bros., Jimi H., and The Dead. All of whom I saw in that period ( late 1960s, early 1970s )

When I was last in Paris, I visited Morrisons grave. There were wine bottles around it! I guess Jim would have approved.

I still enjoy listening to The Doors. One definitely has to be in the mood for it, though.

No. It means you have pretty solid taste, some of their poor efforts withstanding.
