FS: G.J. Cleverley brown bespoke brogues, size 10D

A superb bespoke-made pair from one of England's finest cordwainers (http://gjcleverley.co.uk/). I am not a cordwainer myself, but judging by looks alone the condition on this pair seems to be near new: soles have very little wear and uppers are creased in a way similar to a near-new pair. Insoles have faint marks. Please contact me for extra large size pictures if needed. Rich dark-brown colour, same-colour lining, classic semi-brogue design, best grade calf leather, oak bark leather soles, the famous Cleverley chiseled toe. No inside marking whatsoever. Based on measurements these fit like a standard 10D US. I got these from eBay, but sadly they are too large for my feet. Completely handmade in England, Goodyear welt, fiddleback carved waist. Sadly, no shoe trees available. Please note: these shoes reside in Finland, but I ship worldwide at buyer's expense. Shipping to UK will be around 20 pounds, to USA around 40 dollars. Inside measurements from left shoe: length from toe to heel 29.5 cm, width at the heel 6.5 cm, width at ball of foot 9 cm, width at arch of foot 6 cm. Inside measurements from right shoe: length from toe to heel 30 cm, width at the heel 6.3 cm, width at ball of foot 9 cm, width at arch of foot 6.3 cm. Looking to get 700 dollars for this pair. Any questions, please ask away. Payment by Paypal or IBAN transfer. More pictures to be found here: http://s309.photobucket.com/albums/k...sem/Cleverley/ Godofcoffee: Cleverley's RTW line is made by Crockett&Jones to their Handgrade specifics, bespoke models are completely handmade from scratch using very little machinework. Quality-wise the case is like comparing Ferraris to Toyotas.

I don't mean to threadshit, but I've never understood how 2nd hand bespoke shoes could command a premium (rather than a discount) over ready-to-wear. Whereas RTW are intended to fit the average foot, bespoke are intended to fit a specific foot that probably differs from the buyer's in significant ways. Is Cleverley craftsmanship noticeably higher in its bespoke line versus RTW?
