Brands geared towards averagely big guys?

Hello all,

I was wondering if you guys can help point me in the direction of some really solid brands that are geared towards big guys.

I'm 6'0", 36 waste, 42 jacket, and about 195-210 lbs throughout the year. I love clothes, but want awesome pieces that I will get amazing wear out of (and just want to wear over and over).

I hate when I try on a sweater or shirt that's marked L and it fits like a S/M. Grr! Recently, I discovered the Michael Bastian Gant stuff, own 5 shirts now, and they all fit amazing. I know they retail for 200 originally (I got em for $90 each), but I wear them all the time! I even wear them when I DJ.

Jeans wise, I have muscular legs from playing sports for the first half of my life. It's so annoying trying on a pair of jeans and it not coming close to fitting because the legs are so damn tight.

So please help a brother out, and give me some suggestions. I'd love to up my game, and am tired of seeing all the amazing clothes out there, and feeling like "That'll probably never fit"

Try Rocawear, they have nothing below Medium and 32" jeans brah.

im even bigger than you and i have absolutely no issue finding good designers and fit all the stuff fine.

Dude, you wouldn't be able to get into a real S/M. That's 36/38. You're a 42. You're an XL.

Dude, there's not getting around it. You're fat. Kunk wears Dior. Kunk has more muscle than you could conceptualize. I'm not kidding either.

6'0 36" waist is fat. A 34" waist is probably fat unless you're Ronnie Coleman. Somebody is going to get butt hurt by that statement I'm sure, but unless they have wicked abs and a 34" waist, they can fuck off.

The problem is not the clothing. You do yourself a disservice every time you think of yourself as averagely big. You're averagely fat. J Crew and Gap both have untapered, vanity sized clothing that seems generally designed for averagely fat dudes (with the exception of their vintage polos ). It'll fit. It won't make you fit, though.

Maybe in Japan... I mostly wear size 40 and I'm in an uncomfortable M/L grey area girthwise (being 6'4 doesn't help), but despite owning a few suits and sportcoats in 42 that fit me quite well I am not an XL in anything.

It's hard to answer such a vague question. Nearly every brand makes clothes that would fit you, I wouldn't ask about brands to look FOR when it would be quicker to get a list of brands to AVOID that run tiny. Dior Homme and Kris Vann Assche come immediately to mind, but most designers make larger sizes that fit as you'd expect. And your dimensions aren't really that, uh, voluminous to the point where I would expect you to have significant trouble. If you can wear Michael Bastian you can wear a lot of things.

there are these things called muscles around your waist, more specifically your gluteus medius, abs, and obliques, that tend to grow when you move heavy weight. when they grow, they have a funny way of increasing the size of your waist, believe it or not! sometimes up to two, or even three inches.
