Today I took my blood pressure in my office (they have a machine that is regularly calibrated). It read 134/59 w/ a resting heart rate of 51.
However, I also went to the nurse's station and she gave me a reading of 104/80. These readings were done within 15 minutes of each other. She said she's been taking bp for 40+ years.
Anyways, what do both of the readings indicate? If the machine is accurate, and 134/59 is correct, what does this say about me? People tell me that the numerator is more important, but what does the 59 mean wrt my health?
