not need many dress shoes, I took a pass.

I've heard this opinion many times before. The Modified last can both look very nice and very not nice depending on the shoe. Moulded Shoe had some really nice looking Modified last longwings about a year ago. Also, some of the shoes that Anatomica offers for sale look better, at least in pictures, than anything I've ever seen from Alden.

I would never wear long wings, nor any wings.
Unfortunately for me, most Alden models do not
appeal to me, even if I were a normal size.

Huh? The modified version is better. I have and can attest. Sleeker profile.

I have these on order with Moulded Shoe. Agree that the stitching is not as pleasing as the originals, but have not had a chance to compare both side by side.

I recently acquired a pair of Alden v-tips in Cigar on the Modified last and agree with many of the posters here that they are definitely comfortable. Unfortunately, I don't think the sleekness really works for me, at least from a personal style aspect since I am definitely anything but sleek.

I think I'll stick to the nice, Barrie blob. shog[1].gif

If anybody is interested, they are currently up on B&S.

i love the modified. but part of the appeal of the indy boot is the rugged/casual/non-sleek profile, IMHO.

I signed up just to throw in my support. I don't own any Aldens, but I've been aching for a shell cordovan boot for ages, and one in a last that approximates the shape of a human foot in a width greater than an E would be right up my alley.

Hi

I am waiting on the next order from Anatomica in Paris, I was interested in the USN boot and also the plain derby lace up shoe.

I agree with you, it is insulting that Alden does not offer these boots for their US customers.

I have been doing a lot of research... bought a pair of boots from Moulded shoes,...unfortunately they don't offer widths E and wider....

I would sign anything to get these boots available in the US or to even get a chance to special order them

thanks

Ernesto

You may add my name to the petition. Here's hoping shell Modified shoes appear more widely.

Wow man. So wrong you are. In the smaller sizes (8 and down), perhaps you have an argument. But even then, not really.

Adding two more now. We shall get to 50 damn it!
