Gentlemen, we are sorting out a couple of deposits for the MTO.  But that's all.  I expect the order will be submitted this week.  This is definitely the last call for any forum members who wish to join the order.

Yes, it's interesting that Leather Soul was able to get their MTO that way.  However, maybe it's as a result of their MTO that feedback was received about the bleedthrough and that the LS MTO customers were displeased.

I would have still preferred the white stitching.  I'd prefer antique welt treatment rather than a dark brown finish but none of these is a show-stopper for me.  I'm good whatever is decided on these particular issues.

My guess is the boot will look like this which I don't find as Intresting as the LS version.

Am I correct that basically this will be the boot minus the commando sole that we will get

Yeah, pretty much.  PhiPsi, maybe we can Alden to compromise and do a "lighter" antique finished welt rather than a darker brown finished welt.  At least that would add a little more contrast overall in the boot.  What do you all think?

I'm still in regardless of the changes

Rafael and I are investigating.  I'm not sure the LS make-up caused any problems as they've done at least two or three runs.  This may take a day or two to sort out.  I will do my best to gather some information before the weekend.

I'm also thinking that we might do an off-white stitch for the vamp.

Yeah, the picture above will not resemble the LS version in any way. I know white balance and lighting will affect how kudu photographs but I think I know the difference. Can we show moulded shoes how the LS version looks like?

In progress. We want to bring Alden online too so we are all on the same page.

Maybe email Tom and get his thoughts. I don't some checking online and see a couple of dark kudu with the light lacing and welt. Looks fine to me

I may do that.  I will do my best to have an answer for everyone ASAP.  There are a couple of things I need to check, unfortunately I can't do anything until I get home tonight.  If I can ask everyone for a small indulgence, I may have a better idea tomorrow.

I am finding Alden's intractable, flippant nature toward their new fan base and their long-time retailers verging on lunacy. There are small shoe-makers that are in the game of MTO and there is a large audience for said MTO, and here Alden goes and nit-picks instead of happily taking the customer's money in exchange for what they want. And here they are, giving shitty corporate monsters like J.Crew far more business than long-time partners such as Moulded. Moulded, Leathersoul, Leffot, Epaulet, et. al, should be their priority. Arrrgh.

Hope you gents get EXACTLY what you want.

Well, as much as I would personally like to see Alden give the SF population more of what it wants, from a business perspective I can appreciate that J. Crew is a more desirable partner than low-traffic specialty stores.
