Just got home from the AFI Silver showing of Sound City, Dave Grohl's take on the now-defunct LA studio. They dug up a whole bunch of amazing musicians and scenesters from back in the day to indulge in nostalgic gushing about how fantastic the mixing board was. If you give half of a shit about how rock happened from the 70s to Nirvana, give it a look; worth it if for no other reason than to see Paul McCartney unabashedly steal the hell out of the last fifteen or twenty minutes.

Quick Google showed it hasn't been mentioned yet .. but ..

The Bridge (2006) was really interesting in a pretty twisted way.

I thought I had mentioned this at some point, perhaps not. But it is a fascinating film.
