Watched this compelling series of shows about the British Secret Air Service during World War II. To me, it is better than any fiction that can be written about the war - it's like a mashup of Inglorious Basterds and Guns of Navarone.

I really enjoyed this. Great interviews, global activity, power, money, etc.

Yes, he wrote a book about them as well. I highly recommend his book, Agent Zigzag.

Due to the death of filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich I noticed his documentary on Tom Petty "Runnin' Down A Dream". I started watching it last night, not realizing it was 4 hours long. I couldn't turn it off or pause it. Perhaps the best music doc of the 70's-90's music scene and an artist due to the quality of the interviews and variety of film sources along with so many great songs. Plus, Petty is such an excellent story teller throughout. There is so much here about the period of time, how music has changed, fame, making it.

Did you stream this, Gus?
It’s weird, but I became a Tom Petty fan back in the late 80s after I read that his favorite TV show was The Andy Griffith Show.

Excellent documentary about the 2019 volcanic eruption in New Zealand!

A bunch of tourists/visitors take a day trip to check out this amazing force of nature. Real footage, photos and testimonies set up the trip:

-A couple on their honeymoon.
-A family of thrill seekers.
-Visitors to NZ seeking a not so common tour.
-Guides who make the trip all the time.
-Etc.

What starts off as a "holy $hit" excursion turns into a life changing event for some and the loss of life for 22 others.

You get to hear from survivors, locals, rescuers, the government, etc.

One of the better docs I have seen in a while.

4.75/5!

My wife and I watched this. Holy sh1t was that terrifying! I love the one dude who had the foresight to jump in the water and ended up relatively unscathed.
