curry katsu and jjajangmyun are about the two heartiest, stick to your ribs kind of Asian food I know of off the top of my head. I guess there might be more, but so few dishes require you to take in that much starch and fat automatically without thinking and stopping, or being saddled by liquid calories like the soupy stuff. I still think it's a shame no one adds chestnut bits to stew and a poached egg on top to jjajang, it'd be the perfect setup. Really salty jjajang over noodles, crunchy chestnut, runny egg to run with the sauce - free idea for anybody down to cook something like that. They always cop out over here, add like 10 shreds of cucumber, maybe some green peas...
