Went away to college then lived in NYC for about 6 years. Moved back to my hometown and found a lot of people did the same. I'm glad I went away for a while before settling down here. Both of our families are close by (which is a blessing and a curse). Also, my town has gotten a lot nicer since I grew up here.

i'm another military brat. went to a different school every year until junior year of HS. moved around a bit after that, but have been in socal since 1986 and in the same house since 1992.

Grew up in the burbs of Minneapolis. After college (in WI) moved to Chicago briefly then back to MN (St. Paul). After a few years there, I moved back to the same burb less than 2 miles from the house I grew up in. Never ever expected to live back in the same city, but my gf that I moved in with owns a condo and so it happens...
