In the thread you're referring to, he said that he had tried to start a thread a few hours or days before and the mods had deleted that one as well.

just tried to PM him and got the "no username" error. Looks like he got banned and deleted

Don't spread shit, he's receiving pms just fine, I just sent him one. I wonder if it's because he was replying to people without techinically 'price dropping' or something like that.

libertine1

i really wish we could get SOMEBODY here that's been a member for a bit to post about their experience...would be nice.

I think the mods should respond as to why his thread was deleted, if it was due to suspicious activity/dodgy deals then we need to be warned, as many of us are likely to continue to communicate via PM/email with libertine1. If not, then it would be interesting to know the reasons for deletion anyway.

If a brand new member tries to start a thread and says he's 'never tried this before, but a friend of a friend can get smokin' deals blah blah blah' on an item that is not covered by Paypal's consumer protection policy, and then the thread is deleted by the mods, and then he tries to start a second identical thread and that one is taken down as well (but not before another brand new member posts in bold that the seller is awesomely legit and the bomb), it's an indication that you should be really careful about continuing to communicate with the idea of eventually sending him your money. Just my $0.02.

Agree 100%, but if there is any other information we need to be made aware of, that would also help in the decision making process.

The old mantra of "if it sounds too good to be true" tends to hold up in 99% of cases I guess.
